Our old boss, a retired SAC O-6, had a good buddy who participated in this program also flying the F-84. He told me that his friend later died of some horrible cancer. He was very bitter about it..... I flew with a Captain at Northwest early in my career who did the same thing in an F102. He was a bit of a strange duck and also died in his early 60's of some kind of cancer. |
