That's the plane I always wanted to fly growing up (and as an adult now, but life lead me down another path)... Stick and rudder, blowin shit up...! Keep us posted of your journey through training. |

Awesome man. I thought you were in the pipeline to fly a KC135? Are you ANG or Active? I was. ANG. What a change of pace. You sir get to fly an awesome bird. Sure, most guys I know that flew it wish it had a bit more power and nose authority, but no one complains about the weapons or mission. Bravo. |

Curious how you pulled a switcharue??? Your sponsoring tanker unit bubbas must not have been too happy? Regardless best of luck Hard work and perseverance is how I made the switch. My sponsoring unit supported me throughout the whole process, I did not go behind their back looking for a fighter unit. Thanks all, I'll keep you updated, now on to IFF and RTU. |

Thanks all, I'll keep you updated, now on to IFF and RTU. Congrats man...you gotta love the Guard! Best deal out there! Please do keep us informed. Not sure where you're going to IFF but I actually had a blast. Cool IPs and cool flying. Sure it's a haze, but just play the game and it goes a lot better. Realize they are not trying to make you a BFM or Surface attack machine but rather a good, safe wingman! FTU = Best time of my life! I was a few hours up the road from DM, but we shared the Barry M Goldwater Range! Some of the best airspace/ranges in the world! Point south (or west on your case) and you hit the airspace! AZ is a great place to be young, single (if you are) and in the fast (somewhat Quoted:
Is IFF and the B-course at the same base, or are they both PCS moves? Most UPT bases have IFF, but it's a PCS to the B-Course. |

this is awesome....my wife even loves this pic. the A-10 is definitely on my list of favorite aircraft. Good luck and let us know how much fun it is! |

My buddy just sent me this, I am definately getting pumped up for IFF and the A-10 now. The voice sounds a lot like an IP I had in T-6s who flew hawgs and was a DFC recipient, not 100% sure though. Either way, cool stuff.

Going good so far, have my second flight on Monday. That video is pretty funny. The reason the IP starts laughing towards the end is becasue when the student actually gets into the AIM-9 wez and ripples off a heater, the bandit pops a flare at the same time making all that work and yelling worthless. |
