Got an email from the FAA, I've been selected for an air traffic control trainee position at Miami Center. Interview should be soonish.
I applied in Sept of '09, and just hearing back... And now, more waiting.

Quoted: Still no interview date, and asking around, it seems that I might be in for a year+ wait for an academy date... I just hope I can make it that long on 24hrs a week at my current job.  Last i heard was between a year to two and half. Hopefully you get the short end. |

My better half got picked up for Pensacola Tower, she had a class date and FOL in her hands within 6 months of initial contact. I rage with jealousy, regularly. Also, possibly long distance relationship, FTL. |

Me: Ahhhhhh, gulfstream one julie... gulfstream one bravo juliet, requesting change of destination to Orlando Mcoy. Trainee: *twitch* I do love my job, sometimes.
