I know there is someone who works for Evergreen on here. I can't find the poster. I am looking for a little insight to the company. Looking for anyone with first hand knowledge, it would be much appreciated.

How was life there? Was management friendly? Benefits? Quality of life?

Heard back from one guy who is there:

It takes some getting used to. 16 days on, 14-15 off with 1 day commute at the begining, pay, not so good, around 50,000 to start, including per diem. They treat you well on the road.
Hotel in base so no crash pad, nice hotels on the road, business class or better travel. Strike vote next month. etc, etc. Give it a try. Get a free 400 type and go to atlas anytime you want.

And 2 who aren't.  First of these 2 is at Kalitta, the 2nd is at Virgin America:

Evergreen has always been a scumbag operation.

There is no pay, QOL, etc. to speak of.

An easy going kid from Indiana in my new hire class said it was the worst place he had ever worked in his entire life, pretty much confirming what I already knew about the joint.

This was also confirmed ( and these same sentiments echoed ) by numerous other folks I met at the school house who had also worked there at one time or another in the past, as well as most recently.

My Dad used to be the Primary Maintainance Inspector with the FAA for Evergreen. He told me if I ever went to work for Evergreen he would kick my ass. Needless to say I have not ever applied.

And now everyone thinks I want to leave my cushy job and go to Evergreen.  Thanks.

3 more:

I worked there from Feb. to Aug. of this year. I was gone 75% of the time during that period for 41K a year. I came to my senses and walked away. Have your friend call me, and I'll fill him in.

I spent 10 months there and interviewed at 2 other places in order to get out. 3 out of the 4 people in my class are gone to better things. The fear of being fired permeates the organization from Del Smith on down. The only have a few planes so that the old man can keep track of them and they end up going to the same few places all the time. They are undermanned in all departments as a cost saving measure, so you have to do everyone else's job. That's just the stuff on the top of my head, there's lots more

I am still at Evergreen and I absolutely love it here. I'm on day 18 right now in Almaty and after flying a 20 hour day yesterday, I'm trying to drag my ass out of bed to get back in the airplane. I can confirm everything that Ben and Kevin said about the place. I keep looking for a new place to work, but until I find something with health insurance...I'm stuck. I am patiently waiting to go back to United so I will continue the abuse here for as long as I can take it. Its always exciting to get home to see if the key to my house still works.

I am looking at the Evergreen Helicopters (flying fixed wing) side of the operation, not the 747 Airlines side.
ETA: I am sure its the same mentality... Doesn't sound as rosy as I thought.
