Just starting cigar smoking. Can anyone recommend a good sampler that will give me maximum cigar for my money? Im a college student, so my spending is a little limited, but Im willing to put up a good bit of money right now if I get a better deal per cigar.

Beings you are new cigars, I would start with something mild.  5 vegas gold, cao gold.

Check out cigarsintl.com  You can search for cigar strengths and they have a nice supply of samplers.

Mild Cigars

Good luck and welcome to the addiction :)

They have several specials at Holt's including this one La Sellecion de Gould and this one Royal Flush Sampler . It all depend on what you want to spend.

I like these samplers for the price. Beware the samplers with non-premium sticks mixed in with premiums. You usally pay more than they're worth with the cheaper sticks thrown in.

Battle of the Brands @ TC

Majestic Maduro Super-Sampler @ CI

JRs has some great cheap small samplers and small packs in their new catalog.Link

I think you get the most for you money by buying 5 packs. You can buy four 5 packs at many places for less than a box of 20.

The La Sellecion de Gould is a great sampler, I picked up four last week.  If you get on the email list, Holts does some kind of 24 hour special around mid week.

I would hit the Gould sampler x 2, there are some great cigars in the bunch.
