What humidity level are you guys running at? I just ordered a 12 pack of 72% boveda packs, but my buddy said he wouldn't recommend going that high because of mold/beetles? Did I make a mistake?

I run all my humis at 65 F and 65 RH....and that is my personal preference.
72 is not outrageous as clearly there is a demand and they sell them. You will have to be cautious and check on them but you should be doing that anyway. Seasons change and so will the storage environments. Higher humidity sticks may not smoke as well...but there is always dry-boxing to help there. I am sure a few others will chime in...overall, that is not the RH I would pick for where I live but they may be just what you need for where you live. Try them...you will not destroy your box. I try to keep mine right at 70RH and 70F. That seems to work best around here in OK. I have a new hygrometer on the way as I dont think the one i have is working properly. I cant keep it calibrated. I ran the salt test and calibrated 3 times and within 2 weeks the calibration was off.
