Hello again. Alright I followed the directions and properly seasoned my humidor...well I think I did.....I wiped it down, let it sit and soak up the sponage....etc. My final reading was around 74 and it sat there for three days, I thought I was golden. I thought the humidor was ready for cigars and I filled the humidor to the max. NOW the reading on the humidor is around 64-62.... -G |

I think because you filled the humidor to the max you took away air volume, thus lowering the humidity and/or the cigars absorbed the humidity you had in the humidor and it will just need more time to level back out.
I don't think you are supposed to just fill it to the max right away. You should slowly add sticks so the humidity can stabilize. I am sure someone with more experience will chime in, as I've only had a humidor for 8-10 months, but I have had great success with it so far. |

64-62 is fine. I personally keep all my cigars at 65% That's it right here.....relax....give it more time! Cigars are NOT delicate flowers...they breathe and they change...you need to be more understanding of their needs. Like a wife....they can be moody! Not that mine ever is.....please, please, please don't read this...... Anyway...that RH is fine especially for winter. What is you house like? That has a impact on everything inside it. Right now, mine sits at 50% and my humis are hovering at 63%.....my environment at work is 62% and my humi AND fridge are sitting at 65%......both places are well within the "comfort zone" for cigars. Well I thought that taking some sticks out would help stabilize the humidor but it didn’t. My humidor dropped down to 62-58 and I haven’t messed with it since. I have a digital hygrometer and humidor solution coming so hopefully that should help my problem. Is there any thing else I can do to reestablish the humidy inside the humidor? Should I be concerned or pull the cigars I currently have in there? Thanks for the help.
