Hello all, I am new to this section of the forums and relatively new to pipe smoking (1 month or so). I have a couple of questions in regards to the title about what are some sweet pipe tobaccos that you would recommend for a beginner?
Also, I would like to know the best way/ways of storing pipe tobacco? Thanks P.S. I have been smoking Ennis and Captain Black Royal I really enjoy the Ennis, the Captain Black is okay. |

Just about any VA based tobacco will have some sweetness to it...
But your probably looking for the cased Black Cavendish variety. Go to tobacco reviews website and do an advanced search. You can even search by Casing/flavor. I would find a flavor that you'd like to try and find which has the most reviews. Get the info and take it to your Shop and see what he can do about getting some or all of what you want. I would say Boswell, Cornell & Diehl, Hearth and Home(Pipesandcigars brand) are a basic staple for good Aromatics. |

I was smoking a pipe at 20 as well. Not knowing where you live, nor what may be available to you locally, many of the pipe tins have an excellent variety of "sweet" flavors. Vanilla, cherry, etc are where you'll find your sweeter tobacco. So.. explore and enjoy. |

It's very easy to get around the age to order problem. I am also 20 and havent had a problem with any of the major online stores. Really? I tried one store just to see what would happen and it said my order could not go through or something to that extent. |

If the online store policy is 21, then there's probably a reason/law they require it. You could lie, but you would be putting someone else's livelihood in jeopardy. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Deffiantly don't lie about it. Most say must be 21 but never ask for a verification. Plus for my state (PA) it 18 so i dont worry about it too bad. |

For uncased/unfoavored tobacco most VA's will give a natural sweetness- especially red VA's.
For cased (which is what im sure you're asking about), vanillas tend to be some of the sweetest. Villager 1888's Mid-Day is pretty sweet, W.O. Larsen is fairly sweet but in a more fruity way. If chocolate, vanilla, and molasses/maple are more to your liking you cant go wrong with Benjamin Hartwell's Evening Stroll. |

The Berry Nice smells amazing as well and can't wait to try that one. Thanks for the recommendations. As to every one else I plan on going down the list and seeing which ones I like for the future. Thanks again for all the recommendations! |
