There is a fine line between a yummy earthy cigar.....
.... and a cigar that tastes like dirt.

Few weeks ago was going on a trip with the wife and found myself close to Cigar King - I remembered reading something 'bout them on this forum so figured I'd stop in.

First thing that struck me odd was the staff smoking inside the humidor.  Not "passing through" but burning entire sticks while working inside the humidor –– I'd never seen anyone in a shop smoke inside a walk-in humidor.  Matter of fact, all the local shops put their sticks down before going into the humidor.

Saw a lot of brands I didn't recognize, so I asked the staff for some suggestions.... Told them I typically Smoke Man O War Ruinations, Punch Champions and RP 10th Anniv's..... they suggested 3 cigars, which after I purchased them they advised were all "custom made" for their shop.  All 3 of them tasted like crap...... couldn't even get half way into it without feeling ill (and it wasn't due to the Nicotine content).

Don't think I'll be going back...

Yeah, most of the time house brands suck.  Sometimes they are good though.

If you ever have a chance to stop in the Corona Cigar Co in the Orlando Fl area- you must do so. Even if you just make a special trip for that very thing. The entire store is a humidor and has a bar inside of it. I never thought you could smoke inside a humidor til going to that place. It was like heaven here on earth...
