i found 2 wasps in my bathroom one afternoon 2 weeks ago. i thought nothing of it after killing them.
then today i find 4 in there. they seem to be concentrated around the window, but i looked for points of entry and there are none. i know that there is a gutter that has activity around it, so i assume that might be where they are coming from. problem is i can not spray the next as it is protected by the gutter. im wondering what ways i can kill every single last one of these bastards, as i am also painting the outside of my home and i do not like them trying to investigate what i am doing when 30'+ high on a ladder with a bucket in one hand and brush in the other... any recommendations on how i can kill them without hiring out would be much appreciated. thanks |

i would like to know how to do it myself...
as i have a feeling that these little devils will be back. for some reason South eastern wisconsin (milwaukee area) has a lot of wasps... or at least they like my home... im about to go genocidal on their kind soon. they are beginning to piss me off... |

my glass wasp trap is full of dead yellow jackets they smell the apple cider and can not resist its call |
| I try to get them while they are on the nest with any foamy spray, it doesn't have to be wasp poison or actual bug spray. I use spray starch, it sticks to them and their wings so that they can't fly and they fall to the ground, then they get stomped. Not quite as dramatic as fire but hey it works. |
| I had a nest in the ground last week. I found them when I drove over it on my mower, or I should say one of them found me... So I finished my mowing. Parked my running push mower over the entrance of their nest. followedby. propane torch in one hand + spray ether in the other= FIRE.....I had great fun, my wife didn't find it funny.... Women they just don't understand what a guy considers fun. |

There's a nest in the exhaust fan duct. bingo. i woke up this morning to do my AM business... and lo and behold as soon as i turned the light on in the bathroom i hear this buzzing.. at least i know where they are getting in from now. i guess ducting is better than a hole in the wall. im thinking of making a small smokey candle or something to make them not like that duct any more if there is a hive in there... or i could get a stronger fan in there and spray carb cleaner.... |

I return with a half gallon of gasoline, tip it upside down on the entrance of their hive, and run like hell. then light it with a long stick that i set on fire... watch the remaining bees who try to enter get incinerated... priceless. i dislike bees/wasps/hornets if you have not caught on thus far

I wonder if there's enough available spark from the exhaust fan motor to light up carb cleaner?
I would use sevin dust. They'll track the dust to the hive and kill every single one of them. |

I used something similar to this last fall, haven't seen a wasp since |

soapy water spray will kill the hell out of them Your onto the right idea, but what i've found most effective is liquid laundry detergent. Thin it just enough to be used in a hand pump sprayer and you'll find it is at least as effective if not more than any of these poisonous and expensive chemicals you'll find in the store! I think it litterally degreases them to death, and once you spray it in a hive they can never reuse it agian. I've been using it for almost 20 years. |
