I need some ideas for a metals project. The ideas must be school apporiate, but my teacher can be a bit lenient as he is a fellow gun owner.
I have access to:

several stick welders
several MIG welders
a bending jig
a sheet metal bender
a plasma cutter
Oxy/Accet torch
Natural gas forge
a chop saw
a bench grinder
and a lot of tools

I assume shooting is a hobby, so could you make some kind of spinning targets?

What else do you like to do, that may help get some useful ideas out there.

Make your own bench rest.

Depending on the design you could use about half of the tools you listed there.

floor mounted upright rifle rack for a truck? trunk lid rifle rack for car trunks? target stands, ammo can organizers, dash mounted holster or holster mount, truck toolbox rifle rack conversion kit.
the toolbox rifle rack thing was what I did a few years back when looking for a secure way to transport firearms back and forth to the range and gun shows.
When you bolt the box to the bed and have padlocks on the tool box they work pretty good and are pretty safe as well as provide you a lot more room for guns and gear.
