| I'm looking at replacing the existing vinyl flooring in my kitchen. One of the areas of damage is apparently a seam of the subfloor (wood frame house) rising up slightly, how do I deal with that? I've seen some "vinyl tile" products that are in sections that can supposedly be installed right over the top of the existing flooring, is this worth using or should I rip out the existing flooring first? |

1. Make sure your foundation isn't the problem.
B. Depending on how bad the subfloor is, you can use a self leveling compound to even out the flooring. 3. If it's too bad, you can remove the subfloor, even out the floor joists, install new subfloor. Then you can lay down your ceramic tile. IMHO those vinyl squares are for trailers. |
