I dont know much about security cameras. Does this look like it would do a decent job for home purposes? It doesnt look like it comes with A/V & power cables so that would be an added expense. shop3.frys.com/product/5315898?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG |

It depends if you want outdoor or indoor cameras. Try here firstwww.supercircuits.com/Systems/ Most of the systems come with 100ft cables. Try to list what you are trying to achieve as far as views for these camera's. |
| I'd like to have one outdoor camera that covers the front door to identify "visitors". That is my main focus, but since I would have to run cable for the front door camera, I was going to also install a camera facing the driveway and road (I'm on a cul de sac). I'm not as concerned about the back yard since I back to a 5 acre farm. I dont think a bad guy is going to want to haul my stuff through corn fields or in the spring/winter a wide open space that many houses face. The side yards both have fences and neighbors so not too concerned there either. In my estimation, if something bad happens, its coming from the front yard/street. |

These are better for a little more and will do a veery good job. Check the display sizes when comparing and the frame rate.
