I'm putting in a tile floor for my mother.  Yesterday I grouted all of the tiles and it looked great.  Come today, her cat threw up onto a tile and the juices soaked into the grout to where it is dry.  Now the grout looks very dark compared to how it should.  It's like a coyote brown instead of a kinda off white color.  Is there a way I can get this stain up, or will I have remove that grout and regrout it?

Oh yeah, whats a good product to seal the grout?

Try bleach and water , you could use an old toothbrush to work it in .If bleach doesn't do the job, you may need to remove it . They make grout sealer HD or Lowes should carry it . Reapply sealer once every two years.

Maybe the cat didn't like the tile ?

Instead of bleach, try white vinegar mixed 50/50 with water. Vinegar is a mild acid. If 50/50 does not work, try straight vinegar. You could also try some sulfamic acid which is sold at the big box stores (Lowes, HD, etc>) and is slightly stronger than vinegar...use gloves and caution with this, even though it is really pretty mild. If that does not work, it will be less work to remove and regrout than to keep messing with the stain.

IT is a brand new floor for heavens sake. Chisel out the grout in that area and reapply. Shoot cat.

Cat puke is to tile as tar is to new white carpet: Once it's on it, you're either replacing it or living with it.  You MIGHT get away with a mile acidic solution, but..... I'd get one of those grout scrapers/files, and re-do that little bit.  Seal that shit as soon as you can, or you'll be doing this forever.  I've got 6 cats, and they critique my flooring jobs on a regular basis.

+1 on all counts....
You still have the grout mix and tools handy, I bet....  This is probably the lowest effort / highest success route you can take.

ETA: we had to put a 13 year old cat down a few years ago.... I don't miss the litterbox or the daily puke spots.
