Sorry, not sure where to put this; I'm trying to figure out how to mount a shotgun on the inside of my Pelican case. It's kind of DIY?

So my setup is a Pelican 1700 with Molle Inserts. I have a shorty shotgun with a shockwave grip I'd like to mount to the lid of this case, but not sure how to go about doing that. I thought about going with a scabbard, but the molle runs the wrong way. Any ideas guys? I'd prefer to have it mounted above my magazines, but I'm open to ideas.

Velcro?

Velcro how? I don't want to just cover one side of the gun with hook velcro and stick it to it if that's what you're suggesting.

Looks like you have a rifle on the other side.  Is there no room there in the foam?

How big of a shotgun are we talking?

If "mounted" above the mags will it come into contact with something fragile on the other side?

What about velcro straps holding it up?

Can you thread it behind and between the sewing of the existing strips?

Its just a small Mossberg with virtually no stock. No room left in the foam, have an AR15 and attachments there. I'd be down for velcro straps if I could find something that would work. I was looking for some molle backing with a snap to hold it up, but can't seem to find any.

Not really, it's just a bit too big around.
