Found four working tubes connecting the ground to the base of my exterior walls today, tubes were running up the cement foundation.  I was applying my last remaining stash of Cyper WP when I noticed them.  I have never noticed them before.  The tubes were relatively small in size, and when I opened them, I did not notice any live insects.  Still, this is my first experience with termites, and I am not sure where to go from here.

I soaked the ground pretty good with the Cyper along the wall where I saw the tubes.  Unfortunately I am going out of town, but when I get back I will inspect again to see if they have been rebuilt.  Most likely it will rain while I am gone, and I'm sure I will have to re-apply poison upon my return (I probably have enough Cyper left for one more treatment, I use it as a general insecticide but assume it will work on termites).

What else should I be looking for, should I be immediately concerned, and what other steps are necessary at this point?

Thanks.

Be proactive and call a qualified inspector/exterminator to set bait and poison when you get home. They obviously came from somewhere and could be infested in the neighbors homes.
They go through sheetrock like a stripper in a crackhouse.

While your advice is good, how would you know about strippers and crack houses?  Hmm???

Call pro, or go on domyownpestcontrol.com read a lot and order termidor and whatever else they recommend. Termidor is a non repellant and is the new standard for termites. After they are gone, treat any and all exposed wood with boracare per label instructions.

Hope you do not have to get the ring of doom. They drill all slab areas and trench the outside and pump gallons down in the ground with a rod type applicator. It works, termites are not something to half way combat.
