She Who Must be Obeyed has decreed that the carpet in the family room had to go.
She picked out bamboo flooring for a replacement. After a few hits and misses, I was able to get the hang of it. The stuff is a joy to work with. Moving stuff back and forth while working by myself was a pain, tho'. We'll see how it holds up to a Lab and a chubby redneck who has trouble wiping his feet when coming home.

Looks good! My only concern is the floating floor over felt paper. I've found that floors likes to stick to the paper, and then make horrible noises as you walk across it. Mine made noises for a while but has lessened as it laid. Guess the heat, cold, and weight makes it finally take shape and lay down. |
