I'm designing a deck for my house.  It will be about 10' high and 30' long.

My house has a sunroom on the back creating an "L" shaped house.

My question - would you put a ledger board on the sunroom as well, creating an "L" shaped ledger board, or would you just run a ledger board along the back of the house and basically pretend that the sunroom isn't there.

Thanks for input!

I'd leave a gap between the wall and my first joist, parallel to that wall, and run the deck boards long.  A ledger would only serve to attach you deck boards (and help stabilize the deck in that direction, but stiffening the deck can be accomplished in other ways).  Personally, I want as few attachment points to the house as possible, to limit paths for water intrusion.

While it probably isn't necessary, attaching the deck to house via two points would only make the deck more rigid. As long as you properly flash everything, you shouldn't have any problems.
