What do you like to use?  This would be for copper domestic water and copper hot water heating lines.  Most of my projects require fiberglass (because of code) but the house I am building does not.  I am curious if some of you think the foam insulation might be better (besides being cheaper).

Thanks

Being up north you are probably better off listening to someone up there, but I like the dense black seamless foam where it is possible to use. I install an electric heat tracer tape where the pipe won't get some leaked heat from the house.

Fiberglass over foam any day. I can feel heat through foam pipe insulation.
Unless you're wrapping chilled water lines to help keep them from sweating...

Fiberglass....a little harder to work with than foam but will last a lot longer. Buy the plastic zeston fittings for elbows or miter cuts
