So I was looking around for plans for a workbench for the garage and finally found one that seems ideal for my setup. I'll have to tweak some dimensions and such but not overly difficult. Here's a picture of the workbench I'm going to try and build sometime within the next month maybe:

I see how the framing is setup for the main bench itself; do I just need to add railing on the inside of the frame and then cut out an appropriately sized hole for the drawer to slide in and out? |

If space allows I'd recommend going the full length of an 8 foot sheet of plywood, HD will be able to cut it for you. I just recenlty made a similar
16 foot bench and space gets taken up pretty quick. As for the drawers you don't want to cut out the front of the 2x4's since that's your support. Personally I'd pass on the drawers all together unless you can get someone to help you that has made them before, they are a bitch to get working properly. If you really want them then just make your bench and try to add drawers after the fact without altering your supports. |

Is that article missing some dimensions??? |
