I would dump some Evapo-Rust in (small funnel, tank upside down), then a pipe plug, let it sit overnight, then replace the crappy draincock with a galvanized pipe and ball valve. The whole gallon? do i need to swish it arounf or will it just do its thing? |

No swishing needed, as it just needs to contact the places where water has sat. BTW the cheapest place I have found it is O'Reilly Auto Parts. They get $22.99/gal. but even Harbor Freight is over $30. It works incredibly well and is very safe. No odor, so the wife won't gripe about inside the house use. |
