What chemical(s) is used for fall yard spraying? Supposed to kill cool season weeds and grass as well as stop germination of annual weeds in early spring.
My neighbors get their yard sprayed spring and fall...and honestly their yards don't look any better than mine, so I hesitate to pay $$$ to have it done. I have a spray rig I use on the farm so mixing up and spraying the yard isn't a big deal. Any suggestions? |

The fall preemergent isn't meant to prevent weeds from coming up in the spring; that's what the spring application is for.
The fall application is for the prevention of winter weeds. You're probably too late for that. You can still find out the right time for springtime spraying, however, and do that in order to control warm season weeds. Then you can get a jump on next fall. ETA: I use this, but its granular, not a spray. I'm in N Texas and I did my fall application several weeks ago. |
