I have a stand up freezer by Kenmore model #253.26452100 manufactured in August 2006.

This past weekend it would not go anywhere below 15 degrees F.  So, I removed everything and let it defrost for about a day and a half.  After plugging it back in and letting it run for nearly 10 hours it would approach about 12 degrees F but not close to 0 degrees F that it was reaching prior.  The unit is continually running and is very warm to the touch on the sides.

There is very little ice buildup on the evaporator coils.  Setting the WARMER/COOLER to 1 did not turn it off when the unit was at 12 degrees F.  Turning it to 0 did stop the unit from running.  Setting to a non-zero setting did cause the unit to start running.  The fan runs.

We did have some power anomalies this weekend due to storms.

Anybody have any ideas?  Also, the parts diagram of this unit shows condenser coils and online listings show you can buy them but the unit does not have any condenser coils visible.  Are they hidden within the sides of the unit (cause the warmness)?

Thank You!

ETA: Under the unit is clean as this is the FIRST thing I did.
