I have a Sharp52" Aquos 1080p LCD connected to my PS3.

No issues playing COD or any other games. 1080p displays fine. I tried for the first time (with this tv, the old samsung 46" 1080P was moved to the bedroom) to play a BR movie.

It now comes up with "incompatible video input blahblah blah)

Did the reset on the PS3 by holding down the button, tried 720p and 1080i resolutions and still cannot play the movie. I get sound but no video.

I reset the ps3 again and put in the COD disk and it displays in 1080P without even flinching.

Any ideas?

forget it,

i was messing with the BD settings under dispay and turned off each one individually and retried.

Apparently this TV does not handle 24Hz output option for 1080P. It was set to on by default? i guess since I would have never changed it. Changed it to off and the TV now displays audio and video

I can now watch Terminator Salvation, hope it was worth the 30-45minutes of troubleshooting this issue.
