I recently watched this movie again, and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it.  Really powerful story, and even though I hate to admit it, DiCaprio does a hell of a job.  I have to say, though, that the guy playing Solomon Vandy did an even better job.

Gun play was good, weapons handling was decent by the main characters, and there weren't too many over the top action scenes.  Overall, a fantastic movie with a very good ending.

RUF is fighting for the people!!!!!!!

One of my favorites. I think Leo's role in this finally got his image out of my head from Titanic and Romeo and Juliet.

My thoughts exactly.  Kind of like watching Heath Ledger in Dark Knight after seeing Brokeback Mountain...

He's a very underrated actor. I'd love to see him in more movies.

I have not seen either. I plan on seeing DK soon. I just can't bring myself to batch BB Mt on my own free will when I know what lies and wait.

Leo DiCaprios acted was perfect in this movie and while other main character did a good job of acting Leo did more than I thought he was capable of. Even in the Departed he didn't fall into character as well as in Blood Diamond. His acting was so good I didn't even mind the goofy left wing political slant at the end.

The only bad part of that movie was that Jennifer Connoly wasn't     naked.

Was that the part where Mark Wahlberg shows up in his white booties?

I really like it, but I don't care of the preachy tone of how bad Africa is due to diamonds.

Yeah, Blood Diamond is a great movie. I will also have to add it to the collection.

damn good movie.   I watch it as often as I watch BHD.    Leo's accent is darn near perfect.    I had a SA education teacher in college, and got to travel there in 04 to hunt.   He did an excellent job with it.     I was very, very impressed.
