I recently watched this movie again, and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Really powerful story, and even though I hate to admit it, DiCaprio does a hell of a job. I have to say, though, that the guy playing Solomon Vandy did an even better job.
Gun play was good, weapons handling was decent by the main characters, and there weren't too many over the top action scenes. Overall, a fantastic movie with a very good ending. |

One of my favorites. I think Leo's role in this finally got his image out of my head from Titanic and Romeo and Juliet. My thoughts exactly. Kind of like watching Heath Ledger in Dark Knight after seeing Brokeback Mountain... I have not seen either. I plan on seeing DK soon. I just can't bring myself to batch BB Mt on my own free will when I know what lies and wait. |
| Leo DiCaprios acted was perfect in this movie and while other main character did a good job of acting Leo did more than I thought he was capable of. Even in the Departed he didn't fall into character as well as in Blood Diamond. His acting was so good I didn't even mind the goofy left wing political slant at the end. |

Was that the part where Mark Wahlberg shows up in his white booties?
