My old school big screen recently died and I am in need of a new TV. I'm looking at a 46"-47" flat screen, probably LCD. I'm in the process of researching and figured I'd check here too. What brands are prefered? Plasma vs. LCD? What are the important specs to look at for best performance? FWIW, I don't have cable or a dish, just broadcast digital signal. I have a standard DVD player and a VCR, no BluRay or whatnot. I do plan on adding a home theater/surround sound setup at some point. I'm looking for best value, good performance for the price. I don't have to have the top of the line since my other equipment can't take advantage of it anyway. |
