There are really only a few laugh out loud parts. One of the characters is hilarious (the shotgun guy on the poster who is the drug middleman) but only has a little screen time.

The pot jokes aren't funny and neither is James Franco. Seth Rogan's worst performance. It's 2 stoned guys walking around for an hour. That's funny for about 5 minutes.

It's a good movie, there's story and it holds your interest, but it doesn't compare to Superbad or 40 Year Old Virgin. Just wasn't that funny. It has great situations that just don't deliver.

Rent or watch online.

I stopped seeing comedies a very long time ago, something about them not being funny I think.

I went and saw it last night.

It was well.. crap compared to the groups other offerings. It had its funny moments, for sure, but overall not worth someone else paying for me to go see it with them.

That is actually the perfect analogy.

Now I will say Pineapple Express was three times better than Step Brothers, Semi Pro, The Ice skating one, etc..

It does seem that Seth will want to go into action movies from here. I see him doing a Shaun of the Dead type movie.

I know, I'm usually pretty easy, and I loved 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. I think Seth Rogan is funny, but I've gotten spoiled by him playing off of Paul Rudd. I saw Pineapple Express with four others, and they were rolling with laughter. Just took me an hour to warm up...
