Holy shit did this movie ever suck.

I hadn't seen it since I was about 11 so I didn't remember anything about it. I have however read several accounts of what really happened and seen a documentary about it. From what I can tell the only thing they got right was that Lieutenant Colonel Hambleton bailed out over Vietnam.

Not to mention that Navy SEAL Lt. Tom Norris earned the Medal of Honor getting Hambleton out in a a my balls clank when I walk fashion.

Oh well I'm too tanked for a proper rant. But I thought other people should know how much I thought this movie sucked.

I read the book after seeing the film and I was shocked at the differences.  However, I do like the film as a "based on a true story" rather than a docudrama.  At least it wasn't a piece of anti-war propaganda.

ETA: RIP Col Hambleton 1918-2004
