| I'm getting excited about this movie. I hope it doesn't suck. |
"This isn't the most embarassing thing you've walked in on me doing" Great quotes so far. I hope this is as good as Transformers. |

It looks like it could well be a damned good movie. I'm a little surprised that Robert Downey, Jr. is in the lead role. But I think it fits him. I just can't help wondering how long he'll make it before he gets back into more drug trouble. I hope he never does, but I fear that he will, eventually.CJ |

this movie should be sick....unless they managed to pluck every cool scene from an otherwise shitty movie and stuck it into the trailer....which i HIGHLY doubt. i don't think they could've done any better job of casting downey jr as tony starks, talk about a mirror image (think tobey maguire as spidey, same thing). can't wait. |
basically, none of these big name actors you name exhibit the personality required (as mentioned, the alcohol/substance abuse problem helps, along with downey's ability to be flamboyant and overly cocky and pull it off well). |
I dunno I think that Edward Norton could pull it off but he is an amazing actor in itself. |
i dunno, if he can pull of the hulk i'd give him a fair shot at being able to iron man. |
I have a new found respect for this movie. I saw one of the new trailers a couple days ago, and they played Black Sabbath ![]() ETA youtube.com/watch?v=6Hx6TEqrzHU |
That was what Bale was going for though. I don't think Bale needs to have all the super hero save our childhood movies. He's already Batman and he'll be playing John Conner in Terminator IV. |
agreed. |
That's gospel. RDJ as the pre-injury Tony Stark is casting GENIUS, I am slightly (just a tad) concerned about how he plays the hero after becoming Ironman. But, for all his drugging and drinking, the guy is NOT a bad actor. |
