www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkkKBQbXXxE The last season better be fucking epic. |

The show is incredible. Amazing acting, scripts, and camera work throughout. I have never been more emotionally wrapped up in a TV show than I was with the Season 5 finale. My belief for the series finale is that Vic will either be killed by other cops, or walk away standing tall with his enemies in shambles behind him. There can be no middle ground for him, and he WON'T be going to prison. |
Agreed. The end will need to be an all-or-nothing finish or else the entire show's legacy will be shit. Vic will either need to be in prison, dead, or walk away clean for things to work. |
I read online a couple weeks back (don't recall where, though) that Sony had bought rights to the shield and was taking over production of all the seasons' dvds. You'll start seeing older seasons now in more streamlined cases- that's Sony's doing. Apparently they're still working on season 6's DVD setup, but most speculation says it won't be til this fall right before the new season starts. All of the previous season's DVDs came out just a month or so before the following season. I've heard "September" thrown around for season 7 (due partially to the writer's strike, and also partially to the Sony acquisition). I absolutely fucking hate it, but there's nothing we can do I guess. I'm kind of glad it's ending because it's one of only two shows that I watch religiously when there's new episodes. After the Shield's over, I'll just have to suffer in between South Park seasons. |
I was not pleased with Lem's demise either, but you have to remember we are talking about a squad of corrupt cops. Even Vic was thinking about wacking Lem to protect the team. It is without doubt the best show on TV. |

I just got a bigger hdd for tivo - when six gets rerun before seven starts, I'll bag it I can't figure out the best plotline for the ending, but I bet that we'll see Dani nekkid. and a shitload of shootouts. The shield is the only copshow that I've followed in the past decade, the writers are genius in using fatally flawed heroes. |
