Not since discovering Firefly, thanks to arfcom, have I found a series that absolutely kicks as much ass. anyone else watch it? I watched both seasons within a week. Just couldn't stop myself |
The first season followed the first book VERY closely, with a slightly altered ending and a little more content in the series to prolong the story into 13 episodes. The second season bears no resemblance to the second book (other than characters and setting, etc), although it would make an excellent season by itself. The third book was not to my liking as it took the series in a different direction which I did not find nearly as appealing. |

I really like SGT Doakes - a great character and a great actor. There is a scene in season 2 where he is talking to LT Laguerta and she says "You've killed two people in six months James" and he replies "I've killed a lot more than two." If you watch his face when he says that, I think that is one of the most perfect and realistic expressions I've ever seen, and it takes a great actor to pull that off so naturally. That scene really stuck with me for some reason. |
 Yes, Dexter is entirely the shit. Can't wait for season 3. There were moments towards the end of the first season, and especially towards the end of the second that I had to pause the show and catch my breath. |
