Bose is not highly regarded by most on this forum. I've heard the 3-2-1- in stores and wasn't thorougly impressed. I fell for the Bose Kool-Aid a few years ago and bought a Bose center channel and some 301s along with some 4001 waveguide stand up speakers. The waveguides sound good alone, so I use them in the bedroom. The 301's/center channel suck.

If you're considering it because You have no way to set up rear channels, just buy a decent receiver for a couple hundred and spend the rest on speakers. The price on the 3-2-1 is not justified. 2 speakers + a sub does not = surround sound.

Check out www.avsforum.com/ for more questions. Just don't be surprised if they berate you for even considering a Bose system.

Bose is WAY over priced for their quality. They have to over price to pay for all their advertising. You can get better quality, better sounding, small speakers.

I've heard these at a neighbors house, although not as small as Bose, they sound a lot better then Bose and much cheaper in prices.....Cambridge SoundWorks

These I purchased a few months ago for a spare room, they are as small as Bose and blow them out of the water......Orbs.  They don't sound as good as my floor standing speakers, but nothing really beats floor standing anyway.
