I miss the fat Canuk.. Stripes, Armed and Dangerous, Canadian Bacon and Volunteers are all faves of mine. What's your preferred Candy movie of choice? |
+1 (Spaceballs was funny, too) |
BARF!! I'm a Mog, half man, half dog... I'm my own best friend. |
What he said...My all time favorite movie...Hilarity without profanity...a great loss. Marcus |
Summer Rental: Uber-hot wife and teen chicky-snack! Seriously, he was a great talent playing the lovable loser and he is greatly missed! |
I get it. Funny thing is the name came about because I once introduced myself as Jim Morrison and this girl didn't get the joke. One of my buddies tells her who it was and later she makes reference to JM as being "some dead fellow". The name kinda stuck. hijack over |

I had no idea he was in so many movies! Ones that I've seen but don't remember him in... like JFK? see www.imdb.com/name/nm0001006/ |

i liked all his stuff. he will be missed for a long long time, and it will also be just as long before anyone ever comes along that comes close to replacing his talent. i always liked that he could be funny as hell but didn't have to resort to using the F bomb every other word to do it. i wish they would show some of those old SNL shows on late night. i also heard he was a good guy |

I have to say "Only The Lonely" (which thanks to Gunny I now know the name of as I always used to catch it on sunday afternoon TV) Some classic scenes. - Picnic in Comiskey Park - Proposal on the fire ladder - Dinner disater Great movie. It also highlights the fact that Candy was a fantastic dramatic actor. His cheery fatness made sad moments even more heartfelt. Candy was great in every role he ever had, from comedy to drama, cartoons to SCTV. He was a natural. We don't have enough people in Hollywood like him. If any these days. |
