THe only director who makes me want to watch his films is Tarantino.

I like Jean-Pierre Melville his movies are awesome for oldies. His films influenced both John Woo and Quinton Tarantino along with Michael Mann. If ya get a chance watch Le Samouri. That dude personifies assassins in the world of film making.

Corrected.
I like him, especially Sin City and the El Mariachi trilogy. Don't like the Spy Kid movies.

Sergio Leone. When I saw the Punisher I could tell right off the bat that the director was influenced by Sergio Leone. Then I watched the DVD with commentary and Leone was someone he kept bringing up.
