What a bummer,

I rented 12 episodes of Red Dwarf and they weren't very funny. I'd expect the Hardy Boys or Ian Fleming not to have the same impact as when I was a kid, but I could'a sworn RD was a riot. There were a few chuckles but nothing like I remember. The best was a tape of "smeg ups", their version of bloopers, and even that was less than funny than the worst of Monty Python.

Even "Are You Being Served" with it's broad, almost burlesque humor was funnier. And Fawlty Towers is still a laugh riot, but I guess you can't go back again. Smeg!

The last year or two of RD was pretty lame.  The early years were great.
