I have not seen it, but apparntly it tells a fairly accurate, if not entirely flattering portrayal of what marines (and soliders) do on deployment. It ain't 'all Blackhawk Down type stuff. There is a scene (i read about) that has a marine jerking off for 5 minutes. Now, is this accurate, yes it is. Is this the stuff great movies are made of? I say no.

Pretty much sums it up. It can be factual, but for what practical purpose those facts needed to be portrayed in a movie - i honestly do not know. If you are into watching movies to be entertained .... then skip this one.

Since when aren't they... and any other male that age... but particularly the ones stuck out in the desert of another country? When I was deployed I had more shots fired from my mule than my weapon.
