This movie is not funny, has a shit story line, and horrible, horrible acting. It was supposed to be a comedy flick, but nothing was funny, not even remotely near funny. There were no memorable moments that could have even made this movie watchable. I am actually embarrassed that I spent $3.99 to rent it. It will go down as one of the worst movies I have ever seen; much, much, worse than the old Leo DeCaprio's Romeo & Juliet, which the wife and I walked out of within the first 15 minutes. Out of 1-10, it barely warrants a 1. |

Mm, that's a little harsh but I didn't find it funny either.
I was derogatorily told that since I had never served that I wouldn't understand the humor. "Hey, I know this guy, he is an airsofter who works at the DMV!" Oh surely my peon civilian brain could never puzzle out that comedic enigma.

I don't think anyone would call it a good movie. I was looking forward to it. It's just a really long advertisement for their companies, which is fine if that's what they pitched (they didn't). It had moments that were funny. I also don't regret throwing $20 at vets trying to do something creative.
It's like their podcast. There are moments that are funny but no kidding at least 1/3 if not more of it is advertisements. I have to really be in the mood or out of other podcasts to listen because that Ross guy is like nails on a chalkboard to me. |

If they make another movie, I'll give it a shot and watch it. |

ROFL. This guy narrated your post in my mind. http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/860/976/94a.jpg |
| I am a Mat Best fanboy, his videos are hilarious and I wish they would do their own podcast (Drinking Bros without Ross). Didn't like the movie. I am really looking forward to the making of the movie though, that has the potential to be better than the movie they made. |

The movie was, in general, microwaved garbage. But taking into consideration the fact that it only cost a million dollars (for a movie with action and special effects, no less) and it was made by people with no experience making movies it was...well...not that bad. The main appeal, I think, was the fact that it looked like everyone involved in making it had a really good time. Every time Keith David was onscreen it looked like he was trying not to laugh. Plus, my new favorite trope is now "child who is a different race from parents without any sort of explanation". The making of video (which I'm assuming could also be subtitled "Hey, check out the two weeks we had making a really long video with special effects and C-list actors, it was pretty sweet") is no doubt a lot more enjoyable than the actual product. |
