Severely Disappointing

but don't bother unless your bored out of you mind
I may even suggest taking a walk for an hour and a half instead

it's just lame
no realism

They walk in and out of town like nothing,
The Australian version was better, not to mention the original red dawn

Why they did a remake of a classic so poorly just goes to show you that they were money hungry and just used the name to rake in the cash

I lost interest and had to fast forward a lot.

First one was far better.

I liked it fine, and loved the original.  But then I wasn't looking for "realism," I was looking for an entertaining flick and (seeing that it's a remake) my expectations weren't very high to begin with.

Perhaps,

I just thought it's intended audience would be people from the first red dawn generation
not the mtv folks it was for.   Who don't expect much from it

I really mean it when I say the Australian version may be better

The best part to me was the chase scene in the beginning,
not really why I wanted to see the movie
Just saying

Your thread, so I'll just say that I saw it recently and didn't care for it at all.  To each his own.

It didn't have the high production values of the original..

I was entertained.  Worth a redbox rental.
