Doing some remodeling so moved the 55 inch down to the cave. Thinking I want something that wont overpower the room maybe a 48-50 inch. I do not need 3-d so that should help with budget. Definitely under a grand preferably $700-800 range.Dont know if the refresh rate needs to be 240 or 120hz/.Def 1080 or better? Im done with gaming if that matters. the wi-fi feature/smart tv looks like it could save money in the long run so thats in. Vizio looks reasonable? Any good deals around? Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I am beginning to look for a 55-60" LED LCD panel myself so I'm tagging this.

You can add the net hook up at a later date by buying a DLNA Blu Ray setup.... I am running a 50" Panasonic Plasma.... connected ( via ethernet) to my PC upstairs...

All movie files are accessible on all the networked drives...... 100's of hours of bliss...

I just picked up a Vizio 60" led razor. It like it and it has excellent reviews.  $998

I second that.  I've had the same TV for 3 months.  It seemed too big at first but then I got used to it (That's what she said).  I only wish it had Pandora instead of Rhapsody.

I've read issues with the Vizio panels dying earlier than normal.

Anyone have that happen yet?

Best buy had a 60" Sharp 1080p 120hz on sale for $800 the other day originally $1400.  I have the 46" version of it and it has been an awesome tv.

ETA:  excuse me it is $900, but still that's an awesome deal

I just bought this TV last night, will be here next week. For $900 it seemed like a great deal, and it was an AQUOS. Pairing it with my PS3 it will be a "SMART" TV.

I looked at a 55" LG-55G2 with building google TV for $1099, with 3D, 1080p, 120hx, LED-LCD, but decided to go for the cheaper bigger Sharp. I dont care for 3D, I hope I dont regret not getting the LG...
