Indeed, but - assuming my memory serves me correctly - Van Damme supposedly regretted that once the movie came out and asked to be in the sequel. |

I found the movie entertaining because it wasn't trying to be anything other than what it was. Also, it's pretty much a known fact by now that the entire thing was just an excuse for Stallone to get together with buddies and make an action movie in the most fun way possible and have the entire thing be a tax write off. That's why he insisted on using real guns with actual blanks vs CGI gunfire. Word is they expelled something like 100,000 rounds of blanks during filming. |
