Sony released a pic of what the new Spider Man costum will look like Warning (spolier of what the new costum will look like.) http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/movies/2011/01/13/2011-01-13_spiderman_firstlook_photo_sony_releases_pic_of_andrew_garfield_in_costume.html?r=entertainment |

its a reboot. they jumped the shark i feel with venom. they fucked it up so hard. Lol....In my household we act like that abomination was never created. A buddy and I were just discussing this pic yesterday. He's a costume purist, I however have no issues with Spidey costumes changing, in fact one of my favorites was the costume Ben Reilly wore LATE in the clone saga ( I know everyone hates the clone saga.) Either way, we both agreed this one is a strong MEH. Without the mask I can't decide if i'll like/hate it. I've always been pretty particular about the eyes. As far as the kid playing him goes, I actually like the slender spidies better. I never complained about the first two spiderman movies, but it did bother me how they bulked the costume up a bit. My verdict is still out on this one. |
I always had it in my head that there was kind of an unwritten rule on how long Hollywood had to wait before rebooting, redoing, retreading, and remaking movies. If this comes out when it's supposed to it'll only be 10 years since the first movie was released... 5 years since the third movie. Just seems too soon to me. I assume they want to keep milking the cashcow with comic book movies and don't want to wait too long and let the Spider-Man thrill spoil.... despite the last movie easily being the weakest of the trilogy. The new cast doesn't look bad (except maybe Sally Field as Aunt May). No name listed on IMDb for J. Jonah Jameson... would be a shame not to use J.K. Simmons. Parker doesn't look any worse than Maguire (who I thought was great for the part). Spider-Man Reboot |
