In the movie Inglorious Basterds, there is a scene where a Gestapo officer shows up at Shoshanna's theater and demands that she gets in the car to go meet Joseph Gobbels at the restaurant with Frederick Zoller ( the Star of "Nations Pride" )

30 minutes later in the Basement Tavern scene with Bridgette Von Hammersmark-  when the British officer dressed as an SS officer is talking, there is an SS officer in the back corner reading a book. He notices the accent of the British officer and comes over to the table to "investigate"

is this Gestapo officer from the car the same character as the SS officer in the basement tavern ??

its kinda bugging me to figure out. it looks like both characters have a small mole on the right side of his lip, so i do think its the same actor.

ETA-

this guy

ETA #2-  and yes, i would plow the shit out of Bridgette Von Hammersmark.  ROAR.

Well I sent and email to the script supervisor, and to his best recollection, they are two differnt people.
The Gestapo officer from the car was Gregory Nicotero  he works on all of Quentin Tarantino, as make-up or SFX, and is DAMN good at his job. And he ussaly gets worked in as some bit part, on Taramtion pics.
The SS officer in the basement tavern is August Diehl

thats quite good fact checking there !

i REALLY thought it was the same guy- they kind of have the same facial features between the mouth and the eyes, i thought the ears were the same, and there are points in their German speaking they sounded identical.

i guess the reason it bugged me so much was.... "why is a Gestapo guy dressed up like a SS officer?"

and Gregory Nicotero's IMDB page even lists him as the "Gestapo Major" in his acting roles.

but his real life picture, he looks nothing like his Gestapo character- its crazy what they can do with makeup and costumes.

Thanks for all the complements guys. Really made me good.
Feel alittle pressure to keep with the good answers. LoL
I cheated, I knew the script supervisor.  I wrapped a show with him like 3_weeks ago. I got all his info all the crew list. The dude, was realy cool; he script supervises, all of Quentin Tarantinos stuff.

And as for Gregory Nicotero, dude is like a SFX_make-up genus.

ETA-  If, that is, we can ever find a happy medium between beans and no beans in chili.

You mean find a middle ground between meat sauce and chili?  NEVER.  Pass the beans.

Yep.

Pass the beans to the other side of the kitchen and keep 'em away from my Chili.
