My sister is doing a music project for some class at her college and needs to find scenes in movies where the actual scenery is peaceful and nice but the music is building to something bad.
Examples: the swimmers at the beach in "Jaws" or the ending of "Carrie" |
| Conan the Barbarian soundtrack, "The Orgy" by Basil Poledouris, as they are preparing to go into Thulsa Dooms stronghold.... in fact quite a few tracks are similar.. |

I can't think of an individual scene, but Night of the Hunter is chock full of scary scenes which appear normal otherwise. Very good film. Same for 2001, Psycho, and Blade Runner just to name a few. I've got to pull out my movie collection and rewatch some of these. ETA: Examples  |
