Neat photos.  All of those pale in comparison to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, however.  (even the cathedrals in Spain).  It's one of my favorite because of the Byzantine artwork and architecture inside with Romanesque architecture outside.

Just about any ornate Orthodox church catches my eye...

There is a thread in the history forum that had a link to a site with a lot of WWII photos. I haven't looked at all of them,

Though that iReport is only 13 photos and any such report is the product of the "iReporter's" biases (or ignorance,) still I am surprised nothing from the Christian East is included in Ms Zdanowicz' concept of diversity. Watching the New Year's celebrations around the world, it was hard not to notice that the only landmark they showed in the foreground of a city's fireworks that is religious was St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow.

That image of the shell-struck church reminded me of another set of photos I've seen.
