I lose my job this week due to eye sight, suppose to go to meps for the national guard, marriage is on the rocks. Where did I screw up? I use to have goals and dreams and now its instability and chaos.
I feel the guard is an escape and my problems will follow me but she refuses to work and I have worn myself down in this job I barely function. Shes not ready to be an army wife and its all about money, all I fucking hear about. I have nowhere to go.. sigh, most of this marriage is all me workjng and her refusing to and I dont do enough she says.. sorry done

Don't be sorry. Life is too short, get happy.
Although, I am curious how you will pass the eyeball test for the NG if you lost your current job to bad eyeballs.

2 things:  first, national guard isn't really that demanding on the spouse.  There's no moving, no crazy training schedules, none of the normal bullshit that accompanies active duty.  In fact, many people (myself included) prefer NG because it allows my wife to work on her career.  If your wife complains about money, but is unwilling to work towards a solution, then there's not much to say.  Whenever anyone obsesses over what they don't have and what they want, yet refuses to work towards their goals, they've given up.

OP hang in there. Things will be better soon and give prayer a try. Marriage is always a tough one because you don't need bad advice; but it sounds like your in more of a employer/employee relationship then in a partner/marriage relationship. With no kids involved it's easier to straighten out the bad in a marriage. You only live once and being honest and happy is what it's about. You do have places to go, try a church, a counselor, or a group help place. Your never alone at a church.

My wife is every bit as driven as I am. Probably more so. We work off of each other in that way. You need to have that support OP. I didn't realize this was in the region forum when posting so I'm sure that changes how many look at divorce.

I hope you can work things out but I would not stay in a situation like that sorry.
