Someone please prove to me that God doesn't exist. I am a firm believer and am tired of all the people in the world that are non-believers trying to find proof that He does exist. I am tired of all the people telling me that my views offend them. I am tired of sitting back and trying not to judge others and myself am judged and ridiculed to a certain extent.
It offends me that what I do, say, or believe is offensive to someone else, therefore I must acknowledge their right to their freedom at the expense of my beliefs. What I mean by my last statement is all the people that are offended of crosses erected in various places, the Ten Commandments posted in various places, and so on. So after that little rant... Back to my original question, someone please disprove Him. Since most people that question God's existence are wanting scientific proof that He does exist, you can an offer a scientific explanation as to why He doesn't exist. I offer this question up to those that post in this forum who don't believe. I pray for non-believers and truly wish to bring more people to the glory of God. I pray for those here who don't believe and hope that one day you will begin to trust in God. I will most likely not respond to questions posed to me because I just want this question to be answered by those who don't believe in their own time and way. I am by far not a Biblical scholar and will leave deep rooted questions to those here that have a deeper understanding than I. Please keep this respectful and mature. Ryan |

Sigh. We can't disprove a god exists anymore than you can prove a god does exist. That's the nature of gods. For starters, they're invisible. 2ndly, they exist (or don't) outside the laws of Nature, as they are (or are not) the creators of Nature. They exist outside the scientific world.
However, entertainingly, even if we presume a god exists, we can't be sure WHICH god exists. It might be Jehovah, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit. It might be the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Just be aware that far more people have converted to the xian religion by seeing the love xians have displayed to them and to each other, than any rhetorical argument. If you truly love your neighbor, your neighbor will be very curious as to the reason why. Gig 'em, backbencher |

Sorry about how long this got... Non-believers cannot disprove the existence of deities anymore than believers can prove the existence of deities. It's a stalemate in that regard. With that said, if God did exist, one could presume that He would be supernatural and outside the laws of the universe. I have seen or experienced nothing in my life to demonstrate that anything can exist beyond our present realm, therefore I have my reasons for doubting the existence of God. Generally, an atheist does not deny the existence of God, they see the existence of such as very very very unlikely. There is general confusion regarding this doubting business and the associated unknowing status often is classified as agnosctism. This is to be "unknowing" or "unlearned." The scientifically derived and relatively widespread atheist view, if there could be one, is that they do not know for sure whether or not a god or gods exist but they feel, on account of the evidence before them, that the existence of a god or gods is highly unlikely. One can be atheist and agnostic: not sure about the existence of god(s) but very doubtful they they exist <–– most of your atheists that root their beliefs in science Or they can theist and agnostic: not sure about the existence of god(s) but tending to believe in the existence of such atheist and gnostic: denying the exist of gods outright as a fact <–– rather extreme view, does not hold up as one cannot prove that god(s) do not exist theist and gnostic: acknowledging and knowing of the existence of god(s) Side note: Not sure what you were saying about the religious symbols (crosses and commandments and the like) but I do not think those belong on public property (or currency). That's how the constitution is written. There are no exceptions, not even for the predominant faith of the nation. To me, having symbols or references of one faith at a rate much much higher than any other violates the "shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" as it shows a de facto establishment by means of preferential treatment. But I digress, I do not believe this is the focus of your thread. |

Sure, i'll prove to you god doesn't exist when you prove to me that unicorns don't. Proof is a matter for science. Something that can be observed and repeated is proof. The very basis of religion is faith, aka belief without proof. So believe or don't, it's your call. |

Can you prove that Magna Mater, Maia, Marduk, Mars, Medb, Mercury, Mimir, Min, Minerva, Morrigan, Mot, Mummu and the Muses don’t exist?
How about Sabazius, Sarasvati, Selene, Shiva, Seshat, Seti, Shamash, Shapsu, Shen Yi, Shiva, Shu, Si-Wang-Mu, Sin, Sirona, Sol, Surya and Susanoh? The people who worshipped them (and thousands of other gods and goddesses that are now mostly ignored) all believed as strongly as you do. Were they all wrong? Can you prove it? |

New International Version (©1984) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. New Living Translation (©2007) Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. English Revised Version Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the proving of things not seen. I always explain God's existence differently every time I talk about it, that's why I like to look at someone when I'm talking to them about this subject and a few other topics. I have never heard any of the Evolution theories give a good answer to how we got free will or how a atom has, protons, neutrons and electrons both positive and negative, one day they just began life without being created, just happen, positives and negatives mix. But if you ask me I think by saying we just happen takes more of a leap than to believe in God, as I do.
But I look at the fact that the wages of sin is death which is both spiritually and physically, non-believers are unaware of their spiritual side due to lack of salvation and faith. I think some believers find salvation and now love the Lord ,and forget where they came from. I grew up in church and always believed in God but I didn't live for Him, it wasn't until salvation until I said without a shadow of a doubt that God is real. But with some people the more you argue the existence of God the more they'll debate it out of fear, people want to do what they want to do without any accountability they don't understand how the joy of salvation far exceeds the joy of sin. Matthew (KJV)7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Pray about it, ask Him to word your mouth when you talk to people. |
It's not possible to prove God doesn't exist. God, if he exists, exists outside teh bounds and limiatations of reason. Therefore, reason cannot be used to exclude the possibilitiy of its existence. It is possible to disprove certain specific Bilical claims, but that's not the same thing, and even then, it's usually more about liklihoods, rather than definitive "proof." |

All those gods essentially offer men the same message…..and they were all wrong for the same reason. The Cross points men to a very different message entirely. |

If you cant see, touch, feel, smell or otherwise interact with and receive feedback from it, it doesn't exist. Faith cannot be measured scientifically and that's where religion thrives.
Like Santa and the easter bunny, god was created to give man a warm fuzzy feeling. Nothing more. Just my two cents to answer the question asked. |

The only way to "prove" that there is no god is through logic. (eg "If God is loving, all knowing and all powerful, why is there suffering in the world?" Or "We can't detect or interact with it, therefore it isn't real.")
The only way to "prove" that there is is through faith. (eg "The Lord works in mysterious ways - we will never understand why He runs things the way He does." Or "I have felt Him work in my life.") Neither can be done in a 100% verifiable way. Each person has to decide what they want to believe. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
