Has any one had any experience with the Jeep Commando?  Going to go take a look at one in a day or so.  It is a 1971 with a removeable hard top.

Are parts hard to come by?  Any issues I should keep an eye out for?  The ad says it looks and runs great and they are only asking $1200.  That sounds cheap to me.  Any info would be great.

I am gonna see if I can dig up any info at the Jeep forums.

Thanks.

Buy it. But remember, when you drive it you must smoke a pipe and wear a white fedora. It's the rules.

Drivetrain should be exactly the same for the same year CJ.

They are butt-ass ugly (wait, Jeepster Commando, or Jeep Commando?) the newer ones with the square grill are hideous.

Don't know how available sheetmetal repair parts are, I have never looked into it. But hard parts should be readily available.
