I have a 1996 Blazer that I have put 2 trannys in.  The first one was rebuild and then I had to put a motor in the blazer and that tranny went out within 50 miles of the motor exchange.  I bought another tranny and put it in the blazer.  I have about 450 miles on that tranny and it went out me last night.  Would you put another one in, or do what I am thinking and just sell the blazer and cut my loses?

Are you flushing the transmission lines and flushing (or replacing, if necessary) the transmission cooler after the trans fails?

I have done no work to the tranny other then the exchange.  I thought about a local shop that does tranny work.  They will rebuild it with a 3 year/ 100,000 mile warranty for $700.  Does that sound like a good price.

Sounds like the torque converter is not engaging the front pump correctly or the cooler is plugged. Need to flush and then reverse flush the trans oil cooler
and check the flow rate for type of cooler alum or steel. $700 is dirt cheap, should be about $3000 for a SRTA(Service Replacement Trans. Assembly) they come with a good warranty 50K or 100K. If it's a S10 Blazer 4X4 those are a pain to remove/install
