Anybody use the pants???
Looks like a decent product & I would like to cheat on the pants & wear jeans for some short trips. Anyone?? |

I thought about getting a pair, because the leathers are kind of impractical in the middle of summer. I think the bohn have a pretty good rep as the best of their type. Icon makes a field armor short, but it doesnt have the thicker protection of the bohn shorts.
I've got the Icon field armor vest, forearm and knee/shin protectors but that leaves the hips very vulnerable. The shoulders too for that matter, as the field armor vest doesn't have shoulder protection. If i crash in the heat of summer, and i don't have leathers on, i will probably kick myself, but that setup is way better than nothing. Btw, have you seen the new Bluetooth helmet put out by O'neal under another name? It looks real nice and its only $270. Got a new Motosport catalog today, saw it in there. |
Got the pants & crusader shirt. The pants actually fit as advertised under jeans & are better than nothing. Don't really think they would hold up well on a long slide on pavement but will definately help. The crusader shirt is decent as well. The guards are all in the right places & the back protector is awesome. Mine was just a hair large & it bunched under my leather, I tried to swap it for the next smaller size but had inadvertantly ditched my reciept. Without said reciept, even though only a couple days had passed Bohn won't even talk to me about a return my fault so I can't bitch too much i guess. I think I can modify it to make it fit a little better anyway.
Decent product for a decent price=yes. Buy again=no, Saw some Knox stuff & it seems nicer. More expensive as well. |
