I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand AM with a security system problem that is keeping the car from starting. I can reset it by disconnecting the battery try to start the car if it does not start then leave the ignition key in the on position for 10 minutes, and the car will start. The vehicle started fine all day yesterday, but had the same problem this morning (with same same fix used).
Is this a problem with the chip in the Key or the reader in the switch. Is there a way to disable this function?? This is driving me bat––-t crazy trying to figure this out.
